Good reminder. As a toddler mom, I have to remind myself to be gentle with the little one's storms of emotion.
I think the hardest thing for moms is being Gentle with ourselves as well :) We forget that we are only human and "learning" motherhood as well.
I know! Children are so sensitive, and words/harshness can hurt them as much as physical pain.
So true! They can carry words forever. We can help them so much more with gentleness!
Great reminder that we need to be gentle with ourselves too!
We can be so hard on ourselves as parents...we aren't perfect! But we are all trying!
Oh, I love this. Definitely something to remember!
Thanks! I agree. It's easy to remember a word a week. Gentleness is a great word to start off new year!
I really like this! I am always striving to be a better parent and to walk with more gentleness. #LaughLearnLinkup
I love that you used the word striving! Everyday, we can be one step better!
Gentle is such a good word for parenting. I need to remember this for this week and always. Having a gentle spirit really nurtures our children. Thank you for sharing at the Faith Filled Parenting LinkUp.
So true, having that gentle spirit really does nurture children. It brings about healthy development!
