About The Parenting Piece

Our Mission:

It seems the question I get the most in any class I teach is… “What do I do if my child….”.  This is the reason I decided to do a blog.   I love helping families solve their parenting puzzles, with a respectful and loving solution.  I want to be able to help all families.  This seems to be the best way to reach more.

About Laurie:
My best times are in Hawaii (had family there for a while, so we were lucky to travel there often) and going to the cabin with family and friends. My husband and I love traveling, sightseeing and relaxing on the beach! Of course, shopping is always a must in new places!

I am a mother of 5 awesome adult children, and 12 (still counting!) adorable grandchildren.   (I could say my children are adorable too, but we’ll just go with awesome!) I have a Bachelor of General Studies with an emphasis in Family Life from Brigham Young University. I work at an organization called Families Matter. I am a personal parent coach, facilitator and staff trainer.  It is a job I have loved for over 15 years now.  My heart is with families, my own and others!

Let’s work together as a team to help you solve your parenting puzzles, piece by piece.  I will regularly post solutions to different puzzling questions, for all to see.  I also invite you to join our PERSONAL Puzzle Solutions Sessions.   For a small fee, you will be able to ask any personal questions you may have at any time.  You will be involved in a LIVE chat with Laurie to discuss your personal concerns.   The goal is to help you solve that “What do I do if my child…” question.  I know from experience that we can solve that puzzle together.
